Australian Workplace Strategies is a specialist workplace consulting, WHS and integrated management systems advisory firm with more than 30 years' experience supporting organisations across Australia.

We work with employers across the public and private sectors, with particular experience supporting mid-sized organisations — typically employing approximately 25 to 500 staff — that need practical, commercially focused support without building a large internal specialist team.

Our team comprises tertiary-qualified and experienced professionals with a strong track record across a diverse client base. Over more than 30 years, AWS has advised organisations including Nike, Le Pine Funerals, Stanley Black & Decker, Crocs, Miele Australia and Wilson Parking, as well as local governments, professional practices, manufacturers, retailers and other employers.

AWS was founded in 1994 by Lieutenant Colonel Gerard Nelson following his role as Director of the Labour Market Strategy Group at KPMG Peat Marwick. Early alliances with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu saw AWS advising a broad range of private client organisations.

Since 2007, AWS has operated in close alignment with Parke Lawyers, and since 2015 as a division of Parke Corporation under the direction of Jim Parke. This structure gives clients access to broader legal, governance and compliance insight while retaining AWS's practical consulting focus.

Our corporate offices are located at Level 1, 480 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. We service clients across Australia, including in all major capital cities, with meetings available at our Melbourne CBD offices, on-site, by video conference or by arrangement.
